The Road Ahead

The road ahead for our walk looks easy enough at this stage-but we were only starting.

Red, White and Ready to Go

The brother in law all set and ready to go on the trek to Mariazell. We would be following a walk marked out by red, white and red markers. So we would not get lost! Or should not get lost?

Perchtoldsdorf

The village of Perchtoldsdorf, south west of Vienna. This was the starting point of a five day trek to Mariazell. The route took us ( the brother in law and myself ) on an ancient pilgrimige way. We passed through villages and farms and up mountains and down valleys. We walked 135 Kilometres and though it was tiring it was worth every step.
