Grasses on the Bull Island

Bull Island. One of my favorite places for walking and not far from home. Bull Island was originally only a sandbank but with the building of The Great South wall, completed in 1790 and the construction of the North Bull Wall finished in 1823, it evolved into an island about 2 miles long.
The Bull is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is known for its rich and varied flora in summer and its unparalleled of waders and wildfowl in winter. Over 20,000 birds come between november and December each year.
